The Indispensable Terpene

Listen, you need to know about Terpenes. I’d go so far as to say that anybody who cares about CBD even remotely should be every bit as familiar with Terpenes as they are with our favorite Hemp Extract.

It’s like this: Terpenes carry their own beneficial and potentially restorative effects. When combined with Cannabinoids, those fun 3-letter abbreviations CBD, CBG, CBT, etc… they can boost the ENTOURAGE EFFECT through the roof.

Have you ever stood up and cheered after taking your CBD? No? Then get something with Terpenes in it and you’ll be running to tell your neighbors.

In this article, I want to touch on the importance of the Entourage Effect, Cannabinoids, and the mighty Terpene to Cannabinoid Ratio that DECIDES how good a Hemp Extract is. Keep reading my friends, and find out the truth about Hemp.

What are Terpenes?

I want to tell you about the Terpene to Cannabinoid Ratio, but before that we should discuss what Terpenes are.

Actually, before we discuss what terpenes are, let’s discuss what Cannabinoids are.

Wait, hold on, before we talk about Cannabinoids, let me tell you about the Entourage Effect.

The Entourage Effect is a phenominon that occurs in any substance that allows compounds to work together synergistically. But, that’s super sciency, I hate it, let me turn it into real words.

When you have multiple things that make a bigger picture when connected, you have the Entourage Effect. Alone, these parts are weak, but meshed together they become really strong.

This effect is present in all of Hemp, the more COMPOUNDS it has, the stronger it becomes when used by you. With that knowledge, the more Terpenes, Cannabinoids, Vitamins, and Minerals that are in your Hemp Extract, the better off you’re going to be.

So Cannabinoids are the main thing talked about when it comes to Hemp. CBD is a Cannabinoid, so is CBG, so is THC, these compounds can have a lot of great effects when used by the human body. Did you know, there are more Cannabinoids than that? There is a certain subset of Cannabinoids called Terpenes which deal with smell and taste.

Terpenes are of vital importance because they do one more exceedingly important thing.

THEY PROMOTE BIOAVAILABILITY!

Yes you heard that right. You know all of that Nano-Emulsified, Water Soluble, Easy-to-get-in-your-bloodstream CBD?

It’s all GARBAGE.

Turns out that natural HEMP does a better job than science when it comes to getting CBD into your bloodstream. You need TERPENES to do it.

3 Big Names

I talked about Terpenes in a previous article, the 11 Terpenes you need to know about. In that article I talked about Enlita Farms’ terpene concentrations, which are actually quite good. This time, I want to talk about Enlita Farms’ sister, Endo Scientific, which also has astounding Terpene concentrations.

CBD Terpenes Beta Caryophyllene

First off, Myrcene, which is the Terpene that creates our “Weedy” “Hempy” “Earthy” taste.

Myrcene has a bunch of beneficial effects. In Endo it actually isn’t the most plentiful terpene, which is WILD since it is that quintessential marijuana smell/taste. Myrcene has been reported to be:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Analgesic (Anti-Pain)
  • Antibiotic
  • Sedative
  • Antimutagenic

The second Terpene I want to mention, and I won’t mention all of them here, is B-Caryphyllene.

This is actually the most plentiful Terpene in the Endo Scientific Product. If I had to guess why Endo tasted so darn good, it would be because of this bad boy.

Characteristic of this Terpene is it’s spicy flavoring, it’s most often found in black pepper! It carries some beneficial benefits such as:

  • Anti-Inflammatory
  • Analgesic (Anti-Pain)
  • Gastrointeractive (Not a real word) (Protects the lining of your digestive tract.
  • Anti-Anxiety
  • Anti-Depressant (NOT THE SAME AS ANTI ANXIETY)

Pretty sweet, huh? You can see why CBD is so heavily advertised for pain and inflammation, just about every part seems to deal with it!

The last Terpene I want to mention, which I hope gives you an idea about their raw importance, is HUMULENE!!

This one is the third most abundant and smells like Sage and/or wood.

This Terpene is a bit backward, as it likes to suppress hunger which isn’t what people normally imagine when talking about Cannabis. In addition to that factoid, it is also:

  • Anti-Bacterial
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGAIN
  • Anti-Tumor (Don’t tell anybody I wrote this)

As you can see, terpenes are MASSIVE. Without them, Hemp loses well over half of its’ army. Can you believe that some people make product WITHOUT TERPENES!?

Seems insane now doesn’t it, especially considering that this is only 3 out of the 12 that Endo Scientific has.

The Ratio

The Ratio

The Terpene to Cannabinoid Ratio is of supreme importance in a Hemp Extract! If there is no ratio then, there is no healing power. With a product like Endo or Enlita you’ll always have Terpenes and Cannabinoids, which will lead to an ACTUAL HEALING PRODUCT.

Don’t be fooled by Isolate, or Pure CBD, there way more going on that just the CBD molecule.

Example Testing

Heres a page from the Endo Terpene Test, give it a look and use it to compare with other companies. You’ll notice that our competitors are severely lacking.

In Closing

Terpenes are absolutely vital, more now than ever. Without Terpenes, Hemp Extract falls flat on its’ face, and for some reason our competition isn’t getting the Memo.

We believe solely in helping others get well, which is why we want everyone to be using a top-notch Hemp Extract.

This is why we only support super-verified brands such as Enlita or Endo. Speaking of which, if you’re looking for a heavyweight contender for the world-title of BEST CBD, you’ll find nothing better than the Hemp Products we offer on this site.

With code Goenlita or Goendo you’ll get 10% off your first order, and with Goendo the same for Endo.

Maybe give us a shot!

Be well!
